After living without a freezer for almost an entire year I have missed all smoothies involving frozen fruit. Sometimes a fresh banana just doesn't cut it...
Anyway now that I'm back in Australia with a beloved freezer and a high power blender I won't be surprised if my Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner involves a frozen element.
My Banana + Mango Protein Smoothie is just an awesome combination of good, delicious, healthy ingredients. It satisfies my sweet tooth (and we know I have a big one), ensures slow realising energy from the oats and aids muscle development from the added protein powder. A winner in book!

1 banana, frozen
1 cup frozen mango (can be found in the freezer section of most supermarkets)
½ cup almond milk
1/3 - 1/2 rolled oats
2 tbsp preferred protein powder or 1 tbsp almond butter
1- 2 medjool dates, pit removed
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp prue vanilla extract
Simply blend all ingredients in your blender until smooth.
Pour into a bowl and top with your favourite toppings.
