Wow! It has been a while since I posted some recipes on the Web as I have been super busy with my eBook. The eBook is going quite well but is defiantly a slow process. I am looking forward when I share it with you and I hope you appreciate the work I have put in and not to the mention the recipes that will make you feel great. Hehe.
Something that has changed since my last post is that I am now Vegan or I like to call it Plant Based Eater. This is mainly because I have been having some bad digestion problems when I eat gluten and dairy. I must admit that this has been happening since I was little but I just kind of just got over it and accepted that it was normal… Finally I am doing something about it and so far I am feeling awesome. I have seeked advice from nutritional advisors to ensure I am receiving enough nutrients to support me when dancing. Something that is extremely important if you want to be a strong improving ballerina. (ps. this is also why the eBook is taking a little longer than expected because I am altering recipes so they are completely vegan)
Ok let me talk about my Creamy Superfood Porridge. I created this recipe after waking up and it was freezing so I felt like something comforting. This bowl of goodness is jam-packed with protein, healthy fats, calcium and carbohydrates that will give you the perfect kick start to your day. The hero of this bowl is Maca Powder. I use Organic Burst where you can read up here http://www.organicburst.com/products/organic-maca-powder-100g for the nutritional benefits. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do and would love to see you recreate it so tag me in on Insta. Ballerina Bites. xx
Creamy Superfood Porridge:
You can use whatever toppings you fancy but today I have used banana slices, blueberries, coconut flakes, medjool dates and goji berries.
Start by adding oats, almond milk and water in a saucepan on a low heat. (do not let boil). As it starts the thicken add almond butter, maca and cinnamon. Allow to thicken for another 2 mins then add the banana. Allow the banana to slightly cook through before serving in a bowl. Top with your favourite toppings and enjoy!
