I am a nut butter addict... I seriously cannot get enough of it. I love Peanut Butter, Cashew Butter, Pecan Butter and especially Almond Butter. Here is my simple and super easy recipe containing only 2 ingredients for a no fail Almond Butter.
It is perfect on toast, in smoothies or my personal favourite a big dollop on a steaming hot bowl of porridge. Almond Butter and nut butter in general is full of planted based protein so is perfect for vegans, vegetarians or anyone who is health conscious and wants a filling and super delicious protein and healthy fat alternative to pimp up their foodie day.
750g dry roasted almonds
a good pinch of salt
In your food processor add almonds and salt. Process together for 20mins or until a smooth butter consistency is formed. Pour into a airtight jar and store at room temperature. Consume in 1 week. Yields 1 Jar.
