I am a Porridge fiend... It is seriously my favourite food. I especially love it on a chilly Winter mornings!
My Cacao + Strawberry Porridge really is delicious and I am positive you guys are going to love it! It combines a simple list of whole food ingredients that will nourish and prepare you for a busy day ahead.

1/3 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup boiling water
1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 large banana, mashed
1/2 tbsp cacao powder
1/2 tbsp honey or rice malt syrup
pinch of salt
1 tbsp almond butter
5 strawberries, sliced
a sprinkle of pumpkin seeds
a sprinkle of chia seeds (optional)
In a small saucepan add oats and boiling water and allow to sit of 10mins.
Once liquid is absorbed add almond milk, banana, cacao powder, honey and salt and sir.
Turn on a medium to low heat and allow to cook until thicken (be sure to stir occasionally).
Serve in a bowl and top with toppings.
