In a recent Instagram Story I shared with you these 'Raw Chocolate & Goji Brownies,' which sparked quite a lot of interest and many of you asking for the recipe... Unfortunately this recipe isn't my own and is from the fantastic Hip & Healthy ebook written by sisters Sadie Reid & Sasika Gregson-Williams...
Thankfully though the lovely ladies at H&H have kindly allowed me to share the recipe with you all!!

~

The H&H 'Raw Chocolate & Goji Berry Brownies' are absouelty heavenly and a recipe I've been whipping up for my dance bag for years.
These bars are quick to make and packed full of energising goodness; combining the key essentials- crabs, protein and healthy fats.
Something that Sadie and Sasika also note, is that these brownies are perfect for athletes as they "don't bloat, but instead gave them a boost just when they needed it."

Enjoy!

Ingredients
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 cup almonds
1 cup dates

8 tbsp cacao powder
3 tbsp goji berries
2 tbsp desiccated coconut

Method
Start by blending the pecans and almonds until a fine meal.
Add the dates, cacao, goji berries, coconut and continue to blend until a dough like ball forms in your blender.

Note*
When blending things like crunchy nuts and sticky dried fruit, things can get a wedged under the blade so you may find yourself de-wedging the mixture every now and again before you carry on blending.

Spoon out the mixture into a small try or form into bars sized to your preference.
Refrigerate until ready to munch.

Makes 8 Brownies
